I write to entertain, not to set literary benchmarks.
I write at dawn,
edit at night,
chasing misplaced commas
beneath a flickering light.
I design the cover,
format each page,
fight silent battles
with algorithms and rage.
I market my stories
to strangers online,
refreshing the numbers
one view at a time.
No grand publishing towers,
no glittering crew,
just coffee, persistence,
and a dream pulling through.
And though the world
may never fully see,
every shelf I earn
was built by me.

I am an active member and volunteer with the Writers’ Community of York Region (WCYR) and the Great Creators’ Cooperative Canada (GCCC).
I am a contemporary author whose voice is shaped by Indian roots and global experiences. My family often describes me as an “accidental author,” as my journey from private journaling to multi-genre storytelling has been organic, unexpected, and deeply personal.
📖 From Journals to Published Memoirs
I began writing in 2018, transforming a 200,000‑word childhood journal into my debut memoir, Version One and a Half (Version 1 ½). I lacked formal training or a voracious reading habit; instead, my notebook of memories became the foundation of my literary path—encouraged by my late friend, author Chetan Singh (RIP).
Since 2018, I have authored 15 books and co-authored 2 anthologies, showcasing my versatility across various genres. My notable works are listed on the Books page.
Bridges Between Cultures
I was born in Nilokheri, Haryana, and the rhythms of my Indian upbringing—the landscapes, family stories, and festivals—continue to shape my writing. I love bringing those memories to life while grounding them in my Canadian experience. My stories travel across continents, blending Indian mythology and folklore with the everyday moments I encounter here—from bustling city streets to quiet, maple-lined parks.

My love for cinema has only grown since I became an author. Through this passion, I have had the opportunity to meet and work with some incredibly talented writers, artists, and technicians. So, when I got the opportunity to co-produce a short film, I jumped at the chance to explore this new creative journey.
In 2023, I began my journey into the world of cinema as a producer with a short film titled Yes Sir. The film, which explores the issue of caste bias, has been well received and has been featured at more than 40 film festivals worldwide.
For a limited time, Bandra Film Festival is featuring Yes Sir on YouTube.

Although I don’t chase accolades, my focus has always been on telling the story—not on the outcome. Still, here’s a look at some of the recognition my work has received so far:
- Chasing Shadows, was featured in GoodMorningUS.
- The Hunter Genesis – Book 1, found its place among the coveted list of summer must-reads by ANI Asia.
- The Hunter Genesis – Book 1 was the Winner of the 2023 American Fiction Award in the Fantasy: Historical category.
- Featured in the list of Top 19 most unique writers of 2023 by INKZOID Foundation.
