How Uncontrolled Thoughts Became My Creative Strength!!!
“My mind is like a railway track, where the bullet train of my thoughts races without pause—fast, loud, and often without direction.” From my book Diary from Heaven
For as long as I can remember, my mind has never been silent. Even in moments of stillness, there’s been a hum—of questions, of stories, of conversations that never happened. At first, I struggled with it. These thoughts, vivid and relentless, felt like noise I couldn’t turn off. But over time, I came to understand something important: they weren’t a distraction. They were a gift.
It wasn’t until 2018 that I realized I could turn my thoughts into books and share them with the world. Eleven books, two co-authored projects, and countless articles later, the flow of thoughts hasn’t slowed—my mind still races, as restless and alive as ever.
These “voices from beyond,” as I’ve come to call them, weren’t ghosts or illusions. They were ideas—raw, unfiltered, and often chaotic. I didn’t always know where they came from, but I knew they had something to say. Instead of silencing them, I started listening. I started writing.
What began as scattered thoughts scribbled in notebooks turned into something far more powerful: stories.
Stories that were messy and emotional.
Stories that reflected not just my mind, but my experience of the world.
Stories that spoke to people.
One turned into two. Two turned into a dozens. Today, those voices have led me to write many stories and articles. Each one born from the very thoughts I once tried to control.
My first book, Version One and a Half, began as nothing more than my journal—later transformed into something I could share with the world.
Embracing the Chaos
Creativity isn’t always neat or linear. We’re often told to “focus” or “filter,” but some of the best work comes from embracing the mess. My process has never been about having the perfect outline or a polished concept. It begins with letting those thoughts flow—no judgment, no structure, just honesty.
In fact, the more I tried to suppress them, the more lost I felt. It wasn’t until I gave those thoughts space—whether through journaling, voice notes, or late-night writing sessions—that they began to take shape as narratives worth sharing.
Turning Vulnerability into Power
There’s a certain vulnerability in admitting that your thoughts can feel overwhelming. But there’s also strength in reclaiming them as tools for creation. The very ideas that once felt like distractions have now become stories that resonate with readers around the world.
Whether it’s fiction, reflective essays, or commentary on culture and identity, my work is rooted in the internal dialogue I’ve learned to trust.
Finding Purpose in the Noise
Not every thought becomes a masterpiece. Many go nowhere. Some stay in the folders on my computer. But the process of listening, of respecting the inner voice, has taught me that creativity isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence.
Those voices from beyond? They’re not noise anymore. They’re the heartbeat of everything I write.
If your mind ever feels too loud, too scattered, or too restless—know this: you’re not alone. And you’re not broken. Sometimes, the most powerful stories come from the places we once tried to quiet.
Listen to your thoughts. Let them speak. You might be surprised at what they have to say.
After all, I was.
And those voices?
They led me here—to eleven books, and a lifetime of stories still waiting to be told.
