Someone recently asked me, “What do you do before a book launch? What kind of preparations go into it?” 😄
My answer?
I skate. I enjoy the good weather. I soak in the cool breeze. I relax and unwind.
As an indie author and a solo crusader, my reality is a little different from traditionally published authors who often have teams handling publicity, promotions, and logistics.
For me, book launches are powered by:
• Social media marketing
• Articles on my blog
• Networking with fellow authors and reader communities
• Podcast appearances and conversations about my work
In fact, I’ll be appearing on Charles Gaurria’s podcast, The Opinion Guy, on June 18 to talk about writing, publishing, and storytelling.
So, before and after launch day, I do whatever fits my budget, my reach, and my abilities. The rest? Well, you can’t control everything, can you?
So I skate. I chill. And I trust the process.
Camera on His Shoulder releases worldwide on June 1, and I can’t wait for readers to experience this noir thriller set in 1980s India.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the journey so far. The countdown is almost over!
